Monday, March 23, 2009. How horrible our Christmas will be! This week is Tim Burton's "classic" The Nightmare Before Christmas. I loved the detail in the "art". The black light was interesting effect, it added to the psychedelic feel. Zero is the new Rudolph. Halloween Town gets a little taste of the real Christmas. Next week: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Which really surprised me because the weather was really bad (I almost died on the drive to the theater) and I didn't know that there was much of a following or love for Kiss Kiss Bang Bang. Tuesday, April 21, 2009. Two tons of metal, 200 miles an hour, flesh and bone and plain old Newton. The first thing I wanna say about Death Proof. And one last note, the editing was bad but intentionally that bad. It fits better with the lower budget quickly but together movie from the grindhose era, unlike Planet Terror which was edited good and had a lot of special effects.
