The Displaced Louisiana Guy: July 2015
http://thedisplacedlouisianaguy.blogspot.com/2015_07_01_archive.html
The Displaced Louisiana Guy. Musings and ramblings about food, family, guns, and historic interpretation, and police work from Sportsman's Paradise. Tuesday, July 28, 2015. A friend came to visit this weekend. He brought a gun to show me. He said they found it when cleaning out his grandfather's house, after he passed. He said he thought his grandfather brought it back from the war. Pretty cool old Smith, even with the complete lack of finish, and the surface pitting. Bore looked good, though. Problem wa...

The Displaced Louisiana Guy. Musings and ramblings about food, family, guns, and historic interpretation, and police work from Sportsman's Paradise. Friday, August 14, 2015. The one I made my dad was good, but this one is better. Its the proverbial difference between a 9 ring shot and a bullseye shot. Generally, Im happy with consistently shooting in the 9 ring, but being able to hit the bullseye is even better. The Displaced Louisiana Guy. August 14, 2015 at 10:49 AM. The Displaced Louisiana Guy.

The Displaced Louisiana Guy. Musings and ramblings about food, family, guns, and historic interpretation, and police work from Sportsman's Paradise. Sunday, August 2, 2015. My sister and her fiancee came by this weekend. We barbecued last night, and this afternoon, we will go hit some museums. I called my sisters fiancee, Greg, and told him to bring his Ruger this weekend. He got it about a year ago, and has yet to get a holster for it. The Displaced Louisiana Guy. PineTop: January 2008

Coming to you live from West by god virginia. Tuesday, January 1, 2008. West Virginia New Year. Fuzzy and I spent the last night of 2007 drinking champagne that's been sitting in our fridge for over two years now, watching movies, and eating Aldi pizza in a final fat gram blow-out before the start of our New Year diet. Today it's all black-eyed peas and brown rice. Well, that and the rest of the cheese-ball my fabulous mother-in-law made for us. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile.

The Displaced Louisiana Guy: Fast-Draw
http://thedisplacedlouisianaguy.blogspot.com/2015/08/fast-draw.html
The Displaced Louisiana Guy. Musings and ramblings about food, family, guns, and historic interpretation, and police work from Sportsman's Paradise. Sunday, August 9, 2015. I finished up my Pops Fast-Draw rig. Learned a few things, too. I cut the pattern too big. I have re-calibrated my pattern. I need to stain the whole damn thing before assembling. It will probably go easier, and have a more uniform color. I was even able to make a nice bullet-deflector. The Displaced Louisiana Guy. The Displaced Louis...

Artichoke Anathema: 2011 garden
http://artichokeanathema.blogspot.com/2011/09/2011-garden.html
Friday, September 30, 2011. Mel has been busy working with her garden and we have been sharing ideas. Well, enough is enough and I need to get some pictures of our garden this year. I haven't found any that I took from last year and I wish I had some evidence of my efforts! We start the tour at the end of our stone patio looking to our eastern neighbors. (Please ignore all the junk around. When it is this hot, nothing is going to be hauled around.). Let my Irish come through! I am adding compost for the ...

The Displaced Louisiana Guy. Musings and ramblings about food, family, guns, and historic interpretation, and police work from Sportsman's Paradise. Sunday, June 14, 2015. I got a barbecue pit. My wife said it was an early fathers day present. Its a plain-old barrel grill with a smoker attachment, which is what I love to use. This will be the third I have owned in a row. I got 6 years out of my last one, and hopefully I can get 6 out of this one. The Displaced Louisiana Guy. Sunday, June 7, 2015. Next, c...
