Friday, May 20, 2011. Lily, Meredith and I are celebrating in Utah! After 51 long days, Martin made it to the Summit of Mt. Everest! The climb for the Summit took him just 6.5 hours after leaving Camp 4 to make it to the Top of the World. It has especially been hit hard with very harsh and COLD weather one moment, only to break in to sunny and scorching the next. A bit of a two-step dance deciding whether to go or not to go— I’m sure the climbers are ready to switch dance partners with Mother Nature right about now. The stories Martin will be able to tell.
