A Continuity of Parks

A Continuity of Parks. Musings on literature and the art of writing. Friday, August 13, 2010. Not a productive week. I blame the heat. We have had a heat index of over 100 (between 105-115) all week. It doesn't even cool off at night. The kids haven't been sleeping in like they should and now it is Friday and I have managed to write about 1300 words all week. I am hoping to double that word count today, if the boy doesn't stop coming in and telling me what to do. Sometimes life really does get in the way.

A Continuity of Parks: September 2009

http://acontinuityofparks.blogspot.com/2009_09_01_archive.html

A Continuity of Parks. Musings on literature and the art of writing. Wednesday, September 30, 2009. She got out, her spirits brighter already. “Thank you,” she said and handed me my phone. In the low light I could see how pretty she had been. The shadows hid most of the bruising. “Can you come in for a moment? 8221; There was a hint of an East Coast accent in her voice. She took it and looked it over, flipping it in her fingers like she had my phone. “I will.”. Tuesday, September 29, 2009. I think this g...

A Continuity of Parks. Musings on literature and the art of writing. Wednesday, August 4, 2010. So, I had my root canal yesterday. It wasn't bad at all. I had a good endontist do the work. I didn't feel a thing and during the procedure we had an interesting conversation going on. Full story and it has nothing to do with writing, I just wanted to share. I really don't know if that had a point at all. Have a great Wednesday. :). August 4, 2010 at 9:06 AM. August 4, 2010 at 9:08 AM. Sounds fine to me. Nat, ...

A Continuity of Parks. Musings on literature and the art of writing. Monday, November 30, 2009. Well, it is the end of November. I have little hope that I will actually get any more responses this month (although it could happen) so I will start this post with my stats. Accepted stories: 1 to 52 Stitches called 'The Problem With Gnomes' I like this little story and I can't wait to see the rest of the line-up. Wednesday, November 25, 2009. A Continuity of Parks. Musings on literature and the art of writing. Monday, July 26, 2010. I have been thinking of revisiting some of my longer pieces (And they shall have pages and we shall call them books) and seeing what I would change this time around. I have nothing to lose but time. Just what I needed, more projects. Brave soul. I make it a point not to look over stuff I have out there; it only makes me neurotic. July 26, 2010 at 10:50 AM. July 26, 2010 at 10:58 AM. A Continuity of Parks: June 2010

http://acontinuityofparks.blogspot.com/2010_06_01_archive.html

A Continuity of Parks. Musings on literature and the art of writing. Tuesday, June 29, 2010. This is only the second short story I have worked on this year. How is this fine summer day treating you? Friday, June 25, 2010. I managed to get another seven pages written after that. It was great, although the quality of the pages is still suspect, and then the kids woke up and the daily routine started. It was the only real writing I have gotten done all week but it pushed me over the 20K mark. So, Who's next?

Jamie Eyberg: Trying something different

http://jamie-eyberg.blogspot.com/2009/12/trying-something-different.html

This is for the things I would like to keep track of. Wednesday, December 30, 2009. I am going to use this blog site to try to clean up my other blog, A Continuity of Parks. I am going to use this one to list my sales and links to the stories, forthcoming and past, as opposed to trying to keep track of them on my writing site. Quite frankly, the margins are starting to look a little crowded and I thought I would try this. This could take a couple of days, so bear with me. Here we go. A Continuity Of Parks.

The scary parent - joe schreiber - crank up the playlist! Thứ Hai, ngày 03 tháng 6 năm 2013. I am not a day job holder, and I haven't been for a couple of years now. My decision to leave corporate America was, in part, due to dissatisfaction with a 15-year career that did not, in any way, feed my soul. Sounds like artsy bullshit, I know, but deciding to take time with my dying grandfather was made much easier by that fact. People PREFER e-reading (*raises hand). A Daily Adventure. We Choose How We Walk It. My Personal Journey… ‘will be continued’! At that first appointment, the orthopedic doctor, not seeing anything signficant on the MRI that would indicate reasons for my pain, ordered a bone scan. Of course, at this point I had already waited for weeks, the pain was debilitating; I was still trying to push through it but I was already getting tired. Then, this news… a bone scan? What sin could I have possibly committed to be tormented like this? I think I have ...

SJ: We met in 1984, when. Commissioned him to do a series of illustrations of the new femme fatale . They wanted hats for the piece, which is how I got involved. DD: An illustrated fashion story was a rarity then, even more so now. But it still felt like a big thing to be included. DD: It sounds like a regular 80s photo shoot.
