Over the past few years the club has gone from strength to strength. We have qualified at least one boat in HRR since 2004, have had regatta wins at Reading and Marlow, and have had wins in pairs head, sculler’s head along with some credible performances in the fours and VIIIs head. We have a diverse squad. The VIII that won IM1 at Reading Regatta contained both the youngest and oldest members of our squad – a range from 16 to mid forties! Senior Men’s Vice Captain. The club caters for all rowing abilities from absolute beginners to those wishing to compete at Henley, and has large Veteran and Junior sections. Recreational rowing still requires stamina and aerobic fitness but is less demanding than competitive rowing and is more about the enjoyment of being on the river than entering races. At BRC we are building our recreational rowing squad and have a core group of people who meet up to row together.
