Ltd formerly Weedon Electronics Ltd established 1985. New ownership from 2006 has seen renewed growth and development of the business. A relocation of the company to a 13,000 sq ft site in Hitchin in 2006, was followed in 2009 with the opening of a second site in St Neots, Cambridgeshire. A bespoke build service through to full cell based manufacturing. A principal contact is assigned for each customer's product range to assure optimal communication. Products assembled range from batches of 100's palletised and export shipped to the customer's distribution partners, to highly technical specialist assemblies for industry. Very few boards are solely SMT even today. THT components remain widely used, and we retain excellent operator skillls for the insertion of THT components. Every day boards are assembled with everything from the odd through hole component through to full THT builds to IPC 610 Class 2 or Class 3. Soldering via traditional wave solder machines both leaded and unleaded. We can offer chipwave soldering for those occasions where bottom side SMT is glued with high quantities of THT components fitted topside.
