Pick Two: May cause sleepiness

http://adventuresindeucemotherhood.blogspot.com/2012/08/may-cause-sleepiness.html

Setting the bar lower. Wednesday, August 22, 2012. When I read weigh loss stories, the recap version, there seem to be two paths people follow. 1) Something scary/tragic/life-altering happened and I new I had to change, or 2) I started walking and eventually started running. I am so fat I can't even sleep. Tonight I go for my "titration" appointment, in which they fit me with a CPAP mask and figure out the settings so that my airway stays open when I sleep. Pick Two: Pick something

http://adventuresindeucemotherhood.blogspot.com/2012/07/pick-something.html

Setting the bar lower. Monday, July 30, 2012. I'm considering "life change" ideas, instead of "diet" ideas. I think of what I want my life to be like, and I see three areas that need to change. No one or the other is really. I have shown time and time again that I can exercise and then ingest enough calories to have just wasted my time. I can cut back on food and then talk myself into eating a pint of Ben and Jerry's. I can tell myself I'm worth it and then treat myself like shit. View my complete profile.

thwarted by my lack of faith in math | Yarn-overs and Do-overs

https://yarnovers.wordpress.com/2008/04/20/thwarted-by-math

Knitting, crocheting, and jewelrymaking, all tangled up together. Thwarted by my lack of faith in math. Posted April 20, 2008. Well, poop. I finished the Jolly Rancher Shrug, and it’s waaaaaaay too small. I couldn’t tell that until I sewed it up; the construction of circular shrugs is such that I’m totally flummoxed by the sizing. Apparently. I was really disappointed when I realized it wouldn’t fit, because I wanted to wear it! Who could have guessed such a thing would happen. Laquo; Lots of rectangles.

Knitting, crocheting, and jewelrymaking, all tangled up together. Posted January 25, 2008. In the meantime, while I was stalling on projects, I organized my stash. Hooray! And then there are the tubs. Tub A contains all the feltable wool, most of which is odds and ends, but now I can see what I have that I can combine in fun, interesting, wooly ways. Stripes are in my future, I think. And Tub B is the merino and cashmere and blends of both. Because, really, why waste such soft yarn on felting? I saw your...

Knitting, crocheting, and jewelrymaking, all tangled up together. Posted April 19, 2008. I finished a bunch of simple rectangular knitting recently, and now it’s time to get back to the other stuff. Amongst the finished were two baby. Each done with multiple strands of yarn on huge needles, using the 4-hour bias blanket pattern. Which wasn’t simple or rectangular but deserves mention! Knitting, crocheting, and jewelrymaking, all tangled up together. Posted March 17, 2008. I swear, it has nothing to do with St. Patrick’s day, but there’s an awful lot of green in my knitting right now. First, there’s the recently restarted Jolly Rancher circular shrug. Second is a gift project, a pair of Mrs. Beeton. Third is a monkey (Ravelry: Monkey pattern. Right now it’s just monkey parts, but I swear, it’s a monkey! Knitting, crocheting, and jewelrymaking, all tangled up together. A Jolly Rancher of a project. Posted December 31, 2007. Candy I’ve spent the past six weeks knitting vegetables, with high fiber and low sodium, as I finished Christmas gifts and deadline-specific projects. Today I’m knitting candy. I’m taking my stash of apple green Knit Picks Shine Worsted. And I’m knitting up a marvel of fiber engineering, a circular shrug. For me. Because I can. Because I want candy. Knitting, crocheting, and jewelrymaking, all tangled up together. Posted January 14, 2008. Gauge Tension. They’re project-killers. I was feeling particularly chill and lazy when I started the Jolly Rancher shrug. Because I was looking for something fun and creative and easy…. And so my tension was nearly non-existent. My gauge? Less chill, less lazy… more hyped from watching Project Runway while I knit, and definitely a bit tighter. 8212;————-. Now playing: Miranda Lambert – Kerosene. On Lots of green.

Monday, May 2, 2011. This weekend is Mother's day and depending on the relationship that you have with your mother will dictate how you feel about this holiday. Adventures in Detachment

I had to name this Adventures in Detachment because I used to be co-dependent with the world. I am working towards free. And these are my adventures. Adventures in Deutschland!

Wednesday, April 8, 2009. So many excursions, so little time. It has been many moons since my last blog entry, and to all my adoring fans, I apologize. I last left you with a description of my pending adventure to Ludwigsburg, where we saw a castle, and Esslingen, where we went wine tasting. Unfortunately, the weather left a little to be desired, but it was nonetheless a lovely trip. Our first stop was the castle in Ludwigsburg. Including marble statuettes of naked children wearing solid gold scarves.

Adventures in Devon

Two Canucks alone in Blighty. Thursday, 7 June 2012. Summer is here (or it was, for a week, in mid May). Highlight of the season is of course Casper celebrating his 4th birthday with friends at the village hall. I made a car cake that looked more like the base of an upright hoover but I tried! He had a lovely time and was very pleased to oversee the festivities and tell me what he wanted, when and with whom! Excellent for the kids (and adults) and was a real break. Cannot wait to head back there soon.
