the fowlers live here: April 2013
http://nationalfowlers.blogspot.com/2013_04_01_archive.html
Monday, April 29. Man, do these girls give me a hard time. We had a rough experience at the grocery store the other day. it was mostly my fault, because i took them to a somewhat. Inappropriate grocery store (one that doesn't furnish double-seater shopping carts, one where you bag your own groceries) and it was. We have lots of evenings like that and lots of long, long nights. i know it's part of the gig, but it does get old sometimes. And then they pull stuff like this:. That's right, a calm moment duri...

the fowlers live here: May 2013
http://nationalfowlers.blogspot.com/2013_05_01_archive.html
Wednesday, May 29. Oh, and ellie was mad at me for putting a sticker/badge on her dress, so she grumped about the firetrucks for a few minutes. typical ellie. she ended up a lot happier than she looks. It's actually funny that they still like the police so much, because after one of them told us about how he patrols our neighborhood at night i started telling the girls that they have to get to bed before the policeman drives by and sees that they are still awake. Yes, i do use the police as a threat.

the fowlers live here: adventure girls.
http://nationalfowlers.blogspot.com/2014/03/adventure-girls.html
Tuesday, March 25. I'm not complaining. i know we only have a short amount of time before it gets sweaty, sweaty hot. for now, we wait for the weather to be just right and then we get out and enjoy every minute. And, thanks to this weather, every saturday has been a new adventure. When we're not having big adventures, we are out finding worms and picking every dandelion in the backyard. Life is pretty good. I'll post some adventure pictures and some really great kid quotes later this week. And so it goes.

the fowlers live here: September 2013
http://nationalfowlers.blogspot.com/2013_09_01_archive.html
Friday, September 27. Rocky mountain high, part ii. Ever since we went to utah, ellie talks about it. a lot. And asks if we can go back today. or tomorrow. And talks about real (and make-believe) adventures in utah with her grandma and grandpa. Since i hear there is snow on the utah mountains already, i thought i'd post a few more pictures from a sunday drive with grandma and grandpa in provo canyon. it was beautiful. and poppy slept the whole time, which was equally beautiful. Here are some memories:.

the fowlers live here: some more quotes: ellie.
http://nationalfowlers.blogspot.com/2014/02/some-more-quotes-ellie.html
Thursday, February 6. Some more quotes: ellie. I have a lot of quotes to catch up on. we'll start with ellie. Some of these are months old, but i want to remember them, and i hope you enjoy them, too. Ellie is finally old enough for primary at church! She's a sunbeam, and, yes, those pictures above are the best. Pictures i could get on her first day. she was too excited to hold still. or be serious. she loves it, and because i've been helping out in primary for years. Well, it could be true? We were havi...

the fowlers live here: party all night.
http://nationalfowlers.blogspot.com/2014/02/party-all-night.html
Wednesday, February 26. We had a few hours after the kids left, then some family and friends came for dinner and cake and more partying. the weather stayed beautiful all day long, so we built a little fire in the backyard and played outside more. I took even less pictures of this event, believe it or not, but i do have a few to steal from grammie. She got a ton of puzzles for her birthday, which is perfect, because she loves puzzles. Posted by the fowlers. I cant believe how long ellies hair is! Some mor...

the fowlers live here: July 2013
http://nationalfowlers.blogspot.com/2013_07_01_archive.html
Tuesday, July 16. While in utah, i was able to take ellie and poppy to the small town (in the not-so-small-anymore town) celebration that was a big part of my summers as a girl. My girls treated it like sandy creek and ran straight in, splashing as hard as they could. they were soaked in a matter of seconds. and they were happy as can be. Our parade leaving the parade. we're really missing all our family and those big blue skies! The rodeo ended with fireworks. and she loved the fireworks. they w...I wis...

the fowlers live here: June 2013
http://nationalfowlers.blogspot.com/2013_06_01_archive.html
Monday, June 24. Day 2: houston, we have a problem. Before we left the airport for the hotel, i bought myself a new shirt to wear because my old one was so thoroughly puke-stained. It made me smile and i bought it in hopes it would make me smile the next day. I guess it helped. a little. I didn't sleep well. i was worried i would wake up late and miss the shuttle and then our flight and, you know, be stranded again. But it was not to be. Delayed until 12:30. something about pittsburg weather, i think...

the fowlers live here: p-a-r-t-why? 'cause we got to.
http://nationalfowlers.blogspot.com/2014/02/p-r-t-why-cause-we-got-to.html
Tuesday, February 25. Cause we got to. I haven't been able to keep up with the craziness of my little girl turning four years old. We spent last week busy gearing up for her elaborate, fun, and unforgettable day. If you know ellie, you know that she makes plans. and when she makes plans, she makes big plans, and she expects everyone to help her make her dreams come true. even before poppy's birthday in november. There were so many new friends in there! And so, so much fun. So began her epic day. I convin...
