Saturday, October 29, 2011. Gel Medium Canvas Transfer - Angels. I've been working on several projects for an upcoming show, but my favorite project has been my canvas transfer. I started with a box of 4 canvases I bought at a garage sale. I'm always on the hunt for art supplies at garage sales.cheap! I think the box was marked low because of the "guidelines" that were already stamped on the canvases. I quickly covered the lines with Gesso so they wouldn't bleed through on my final project. Place your ph...

O Lord, you have examined my heart. And know everything about me. You know when I sit down or stand up. You know my thoughts even when I’m far away. You see me when I travel. And when I rest at home. You know everything I do. You know what I am going to say. Even before I say it, Lord. You go before me and follow me.

Cowgurl's Blessing: Before and After
http://cowgurlsblessing.blogspot.com/p/before-and-after.html
I found this little gem along the curb! I'm sure they threw it out because of the old, dirty formica top! A fresh coat of paint, some dark glaze and decoupage over the formica! This old piece was badly scarred on the top and the finish was scratched. A complete sanding across the top and light sanding all over. I also decoupaged some scrapbook paper over the top, then glued a cut out of the little boy on top of that! I used Fragile Crackle over the whole top to give it a really aged effect. Subscribe to:...

Tuesday, January 31, 2012. I love blue dishes.but my all time favorite is a set my husband gave me for Christmas in 1983. They are called "Denmark", and are made by Franciscan. Originally I received 8 place settings and a few serving pieces. But with all things we love.this pattern has been discontinued. I found these three pieces in a resell shop last week. The egg cups are not marked, however the tea pot is made by Furnivals and is also called Denmark. I love all these pieces used together. So many nam...

Saturday, December 31, 2011. New Year - Memorial Stones. The week between Christmas and New Year’s has traditionally been a time of reflection and goal setting for myself. I have found myself thinking about the Biblical practice of erecting “memorial stones.”. The stones were erected to remind those coming after of what happened in the past. To read about memorial stones you can look at Genesis 28:20-22. There are also many other examples to be found in the Bible.). The memorial stones were not only to p...
