Far Out Flora's Blog. Gardening in the Outerlands of San Francisco. Max the Border Collie. May 18, 2011. This is how it looked back then. Almost a year ago, I planted this metal pot rack. Into a succulent hanging thing. Lots of little cuttings, lots of sphagnum moss, lots of potential. Well, it’s all grown up now. Not exactly what I expected, but enough to salvage. A little fluffing and it’s looking sweet again, better than ever. I can’t wait for another 3-6 months to pass to see what happens next&...

Nature Assassin: BRING OUT YER DEAD
http://natureassassin.blogspot.com/2010/12/bring-out-yer-dead.html
BRING OUT YER DEAD. So, this is my latest casualty list, Scottish-style. I guess I'm feeling a little gaelic. Like the black plague sweeping through the highlands in the 1300s and 1600s, I have swept through my indoor garden, leaving death in my wake. Seriously, look at how long this list is. Ah fergot to water et! Ah fergot to water that, too! Good riddance, ye misbegotten bastard of a fern! Poor wee little bonsai. Citrus x meyeri (Meyer lemon) seedlings. Citrus hystrix (Makrut lime). FECK YOU, APHIDS.

Collected seeds* in the vegetable drawer. any vegetables whatsoever? If you go hunting in the freezer, watch out for the container of flies. Sarracenias. If you're still hungry, here's some tasty music. Holler if you're interested in trading. I've got mainly annuals and perennials, some houseplant varieties. The Heat is On!

Pictures From My Shower. tradescandalous! Nuh uh, you wish. I don't think you're ready for the proverbial jelly. When I shower, I like to feel like I'm in the rainforest, minus the tropical diseases. So I installed an overhead shelf and stocked it with orchids and tropical vines, including Tradescantia flumensis (possibly 'Quicksilver') and Tradescantia zebrina. Anyhow, welcome to my THIRD post of 2011, mid December. It's been pretty weird. Why wasn't I documenting my summer? Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

zone5 (retired): October 2009
http://zone5gardening.blogspot.com/2009_10_01_archive.html
Monday, October 12, 2009. The weather's been terrible, the plants outside are looking tired and I simply do not have enough to write about in Zone 5 to fill a blog, especially with winter right around the corner. That does not mean I have nothing to write about though! Is where I will write about everything I wrote about on here (when it's in season) but also be able to freely write about tropical plants whenever I want to (which will likely be much more often). I hope you'll join me there instead!
