September 4, 2014. I'm in mothertrucking Rio - favela edition. 24 hours into my first visit to the country that gave the world Gisele and women the 'Brazilian', and I still can't believe it's real. I never knew I had such a deep seated admiration for this land. It's caught me quite off guard. From the welcoming and helpful greeting at the airport, to the iconic curving coastlines along Ipanema and Copacabana, there is nothing about today that was not real. And yet my day was undeniably unreal.
