The Village Hall was built in 1843 and located five miles away at Lightwood Creek. It was brought to Andersonville in 1890. It served as the Andersonville Baptist Church for many years. After sitting idle for numerous years, the last member of the congregation donated the building to the Andersonville Guild. Fundraisers were held and a complete renovation was accomplished. The Park

Behind the Post Office and Stores is a recreated Pioneer Farm. This 7-acre farm was created in the mid 70's to depict what life was like on a one man farm in the late 1800's. The farm includes a 130 year old log cabin, log barns, a cane mill, an operating grist mill and a blacksmith shop. Pioneer Farm hours are 9 am till dusk (which is right before sunset). Visitors can enjoy picnic areas, flowering trees, azaleas, chickens, pea fowl and just stepping back in time. Back porch a the 130 year old log cabin.

On the first full weekend in October, History comes alive in Andersonville. Georgia. Hundreds of Civil War reenactors set up camps and stage two realistic mock battles, the first at 3pm Saturday and the second at 2 pm Sunday. Sutlers selling Civil War uniforms and accouterments, guns, swords, flags and Civil War era civilian clothing add color and interest as do craftsmen such as gunsmiths, blacksmiths, basket makers, quilters, weavers, and artists of all kinds.
