Delightful Handwork: June 2015
http://delightfulhandwork.blogspot.com/2015_06_01_archive.html
Tuesday, June 16, 2015. The hollyhocks are blooming! Aren't they just lovely? Such an old-fashioned flower - in the best possible sense. When I went out to snap these pics it was so humid my lens kept fogging up! I think it gave the photos a rather pleasing softness though. Every time a walk past these beauties I find myself singing "Hollyhock, hollyhock, oh holly hollyhock! To the tune of Lollipop. What do you have blooming? Photos by Yours Truly}. Links to this post. Tuesday, June 9, 2015. Then let th...

2015: Scaling Those Mountains – A beautiful ordinary.
https://abeautifulordinary.wordpress.com/2015/01/09/2015-scaling-those-mountains
Musings on life, faith, and creativity. 2015: Scaling Those Mountains. January 9, 2015. January 9, 2015. Goodbye, mountains I love. As the world from 30,000 feet weaves its enchantment, I step forward into a new year. Well, hello 2015. I must say, that happened fast. I found some of my inspiration this year from this cool project called Passion Planner. I’ve made one resolution this year in each of five areas: physical, emotional, spiritual, social, and academic. Specific action plan: Place reminders in ...

Do the next thing. – A beautiful ordinary.
https://abeautifulordinary.wordpress.com/2015/04/02/do-the-next-thing
Musings on life, faith, and creativity. Do the next thing. April 2, 2015. I finished my first half marathon on March 21 with a time of 2:26 (beating my goal time by 4 minutes! And I was browsing around on Pinterest today (because let’s be honest, that is my wont, especially when there are papers that need to be written :P), and I found this lovely, inspirational post:. All well and good, right? 8220; How long, O Lord. Will You forget me forever? But, in all seriousness, so far 2015 has been the year of.

Delightful Handwork: January 2015

Monday, January 19, 2015. THE Miss Lemon sweater - Part 1 - Planning. I have long been an admirer of Miss Lemon. Especially as portrayed by Pauline Moran in the Poirot series. The one with David Suchet as Poirot. The ONLY one in my humble opinion.). This is a character with brains, style, and class. Not to mention terrific knitwear. But, I just did. I've been invited to a Literary Ball coming up in February.. We are asked to come dressed as our favorite literary character. Rolls eyes at herself}. I usua...

Sunflower Cottage: February 2015
http://bigyellowcottage.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
Living life in Colorado. Thursday, February 19, 2015. The Days are not Mine. What a joy to see my grandson, to see his face light up when he saw me. To have him want me to hold him, to listen to him babble and to have him kiss me. Wednesday, February 18, 2015. By the way, I just recently looked up the benefits of Rooibos tea and was amazed. Supposedly Rooibos can help relax the body for sleep amongst other claims. Here is a link to a tea website to check out what your favorite tea can do for you:...This ...

Seven Miles & New Challenges – A beautiful ordinary.
https://abeautifulordinary.wordpress.com/2015/01/28/seven-miles-new-challenges
Musings on life, faith, and creativity. Seven Miles and New Challenges. January 28, 2015. January 28, 2015. Update on the half marathon training progress…. seven miles ran on Sunday, and eight planned for Saturday. 13.1, here I come! Also, I decided that, well, that wasn’t crazy enough. And March is mid-semester, which is right about when I lose inertia for workouts anyways. So, I took the leap and signed up for my first sprint triathlon in July! But, well, scaling those mountains. Do the next thing.

Write to hold back the memories. – A beautiful ordinary.
https://abeautifulordinary.wordpress.com/2015/01/24/write-to-hold-back-the-memories
Musings on life, faith, and creativity. Living the beautiful ordinary. Write to hold back the memories. January 24, 2015. January 24, 2015. Isn’t it strange how we remember only a fraction of our conscious lives? How many times did I fill my moments with those things? I couldn’t tell you. But there they are, with the familiarity of repetition, like the deep wagon-wheel tracks that mark the Camino Real; they have become an unchangeable part of who I am. 2015: Scaling Those Mountains. Sunflower Cottage: Very Vera Bradley...
http://bigyellowcottage.blogspot.com/2015/05/very-vera-bradley.html
Living life in Colorado. Wednesday, May 6, 2015. I like vintage Vera. So this first piece is a vintage piece. Its a brush and pencil case (photo acquired on-line) in Hope Toile (magenta and white on a coral ground). I acquired it from an on-line 2nd hand store called Twice. It is lined inside making it hard to see the inside pattern which is darling. This is another vintage piece. A Bucket Tote in the pattern called Petal Pink. It is pink, green and white. I acquired this piece from Twice. I also got a C...

Sunflower Cottage: Winter Beauty
http://bigyellowcottage.blogspot.com/2015/03/winter-beauty.html
Living life in Colorado. Thursday, March 5, 2015. Pictured above is my face and hand arsenal for the winter. The two supplements pictured are Krill Oil and Evening Primrose. I found (through reading about my symptoms) that I was deficient in my Omega 3's and 6's. As you know these oils help with many things in the body, but they help skin as well. Since taking them I have notice a difference and my eczema is under better control. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Golden, CO - by Greg Jacobs.
