Brown Baby Update: January 2009
http://brownbabyupdate.blogspot.com/2009_01_01_archive.html
Tuesday, January 27, 2009. Then Tuesday was Inauguration Day, our first while living in the DC area. It gets so crazy out here that the bridges from VA to DC were shut down to traffic and most people get the day off of work. We watched the inauguration from the coziness of our warm bed and didn't feel bad about it at all. Wednesday was my favorite day of all because my doctor informed me that I was negative for Gestational Diabetes and no further testing was required. Such a relief. Currently, there is...

Brown Baby Update: 37 Weeks
http://brownbabyupdate.blogspot.com/2009/03/37-weeks.html
Monday, March 23, 2009. At my 37 week check-up last Thursday, I was 50% effaced and 1 cm dilated. If you don't know what that means, send me a note and I'll explain it. Here's what's going on with the baby:. 5 more days until his due date! At 38 and 39 weeks, vernix and lanugo continue to shed from his body into the amniotic fluid and h...

Brown Baby Update: The Main Event
http://brownbabyupdate.blogspot.com/2009/04/main-event.html
Tuesday, April 28, 2009. After 40 weeks of pregnancy and anticipation, I went into early labor on my due date! Good thing we protected the mattress. Once my water broke, things started happening really quickly. The contractions were very strong and just a few minutes apart almost immediately. I was worried that my labor was coming on too fast and we started making our way to the hospital. That was an interesting journey! We spent one night at the hospital and headed home as soon as we were allowed. W...
