Nature immortalised: October 2012
http://natureimmortal.blogspot.com/2012_10_01_archive.html
My most popular images for sale at Shutterstock. Thursday, October 11, 2012. Been a bit slow on photography for a while but finally got my act together for the rut here in Germany. There is only one place around Munich where you can shoot wild red and fallow deer so shots can be hard to come by, especially as the animals are very shy, given the large space they have. All taken with 1DIV and 500 f4. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). De zoektocht naar de geheimzinnige Otter. Earth Captures by Sue Berry.

Nature immortalised: Time flies.

My most popular images for sale at Shutterstock. Tuesday, March 4, 2014. October we had a week in the Ebro Delta, Spain. My birthday suprise. Quite possibly a place worth visiting again, the immense rice field landscape was mostly filled with egrets and herons but I am sure in spring the migratory species are greater in number. Autumn was so-so with a few wild boar scrounging for apples and acorns. The rut? I did though manage to find some grouse in the dales. But then a Facebook friend, Marcin, put out ...

Nature immortalised: March 2014
http://natureimmortal.blogspot.com/2014_03_01_archive.html
My most popular images for sale at Shutterstock. Friday, March 7, 2014. Having had zero snow covering here in Munich over the winter I was beginning to consider tying a noose. Until Marcin Nawrocki. Put the call out in Facebook for people wanting to visit his eagle hides. Being a lone wolf it is not easy to guarantee a spot as groups tend to book early. But he had space end of February, during the school hols and my mother-in-law was coming to visit. I booked a flight, I was in! On the Tuesday we had any...

Nature immortalised: Damn, the snow has gone!
http://natureimmortal.blogspot.com/2013/04/damn-snow-has-gone.html
My most popular images for sale at Shutterstock. Tuesday, April 16, 2013. Damn, the snow has gone! Yes, I took an exceptionally long time but all the snow has now gone, I weep. This year I managed many wonderful sub-zero hours in my buzzard spot and was rewarded with 5 or 6 birds who consistently came to feed, all be it later in the day : As they have now moved on, and the foresters moved in to cut down plenty of trees, I moved too. And of course, it would not be spring without a bit of bambi and faline.

My most popular images for sale at Shutterstock. Tuesday, March 27, 2012. It is all about being there. Likewise on Saturday, as darkness fell, the roe bucks started roaring. All around was the sound of running deer and the constant braying of the big males as they build up to spring and summer. It was amazing. That I managed to get some picture shortly before is great, but you cannot hear that party. Monday, March 26, 2012. Friday, March 23, 2012. Sunday, March 18, 2012. Oh no, my camera still works!

My most popular images for sale at Shutterstock. Monday, March 4, 2013. I was inundated with GSWs too. Then this one arrived, and disappeared again. And there was always plenty of small stuff about. I thank my lucky stars that I am able to take pictures like these five minutes drive from home. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). De zoektocht naar de geheimzinnige Otter. My most popular images for sale at Shutterstock. Thursday, November 8, 2012. Some almost summertime GSWs. No not really summer, but the freak high pressure we get here in Munich know as "Fön" brings dry and amazingly clear weather, not to mention high temperature and a headache! So I sat in my hide in the forest, 20°, in a tshirt. Not what I really wanted considering the snow we had four days earlier! A couple of the Mrs! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
