Haiti, Day 5. I don’t know how our bus driver does it, but he keeps so calm. We got stuck once and it was pretty intense. It took quite a few tries to get us out and was pretty nerve wracking. The bus could not make it all the way to the house, so we had to take a bit of a hike to get there. Once we arrived we were met by Carla and taken up to her house. Haiti, Day 6. Another day gone. This trip is going by pretty quickly! Greg won two games! We got him that game for Christmas and this is the first time he has won! Well, I just got out of the shower and am trying to get my hair to dry a little bit before I go to bed. Sleeping with wet hair is never fun but it is even worse in high humidity areas. Haiti, Day 13. Today was the beach day! I got on the bus at 8:30am and we hit the road! I rode in the front seat today because I wanted to try it out. It was actually a bit scary at first! Olin is a crazy (but good) driver and being up front just emphasizes that! There was probably like only ten other women there. It was crazy! Monday, January 14, 2013. The Yellow Brick Road. Has been a wonderful journey. I want to say a heartfelt thank you to all my readers. Receiving your feedback and even just knowing that you were interested enough in me to read my blogs gave me motivation to write. And writing makes me happy. So thank you :o). After moving back home to Oz, I felt like The Yellow Brick Road. Had run its course and I'd finally reached its end. Which is of course not the end at all, but the start of a new chapter in life.
