We propose a framework called the Information Grid that supports information sharing in an open and dynamic way. Information Grid defines a standard called MDL to specify the hierarchy and structure of information according to defferent areas and scopes, and consits of three components, namely, Marker Directory Service, Information Broker and Discovery Service.
