Mustang Eddie: February 2015
http://mustangeddie.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
Wednesday, February 18, 2015. Watching all the news coverage of the big snows up north made us feel left out until yesterday. We finally got what we consider a blizzard around here-about six inches. Everything shut down. It wasn't our usual type of icy winter precipitation. This stuff is white and fluffy. You didn't have to work hard at all to tidy it up. What's not to like about this kind of snow. When the sun bounces off it, 20 degrees feels like 40. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile.

Mustang Eddie: September 2014
http://mustangeddie.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
Thursday, September 4, 2014. It's been too hot to do much of anything for the past week or so. I've been passing the days building all those models I asked for at Christmas. I'm getting quite a collection of finished projects. I'm also having a hard time finding new kits to buy. I think I already own them all. My latest work in progress is this working model of an engine. It's going to take a while because the kit has more than a few issues-but figuring out the solutions is half the fun, right? Awesome I...

Mustang Eddie: August 2015
http://mustangeddie.blogspot.com/2015_08_01_archive.html
Wednesday, August 5, 2015. I finally used my Father's Day gift certificate. It's a model. A really big model. It will be 30 inches long when finished. It's the U.S.S. New Jersey. A model of the only warship that provided gunfire support during the Vietnam war. There are almost 1400 pieces. There are 94 steps of instruction. Enough to keep me busy for a long time- as soon as I finish the US Navy Landing Ship I'm working on now. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Chesapeake Beach, Maryland, United States.

Spinning wool, natural dyes, and tapestry weaving,. Newer posts →. April 2, 2016. I have had the urge to weave lately. No big projects are in the works, but I am trying out some patterns on my rigid heddle loom, sampling threads and yarns on my vintage Peacock loom and a little knitted shawl on the side. I found a pick-up pattern to go along with the Brooks Bouquet pattern. This is a gift for an aunt in Kentucky. More to come at My Yellow Swing. I Am So Ready! March 10, 2016. My rigid heddle loom has got...

Mustang Eddie: March 2015
http://mustangeddie.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html
Monday, March 30, 2015. Daughter has this ice show thing going on. I help out from time to time by putting together scenery and props. This is a cardboard lamp post kit. It took hours to cut out all the pieces with an exacto knife. I've learned to hate hot glue. Five hours later I had one together. Almost. I need Daughter's approval on the height of the thing before I can finish it. Then there's lamp post number two to tackle. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Chesapeake Beach, Maryland, United States.

oak before ash: beside the sea
http://oakbeforeash.blogspot.com/2013/10/beside-sea.html
Saturday, 26 October 2013. It's been ages since I've been in this space. Where have I been this time? Well I've been awarded a bursary from b-side (the arts company who delivered the cultural Olympiad in Weymouth and Portland in 2012) to develop my textile work. Exciting huh? So after Somerset Art Weeks and my last ceramics exhibition I spent a week on Portland meeting other artists and attending the b-side symposium. oak before ash: celebrations
http://oakbeforeash.blogspot.com/2013/06/celebrations.html
Monday, 17 June 2013. Recently there has been the busy mix of my youngest turning 4, (4! How did that happen? Father's Day and lots of busy family stuff in between. Both of these special days were celebrated with a trip to Swanage. On the steam train, armed with buckets and spades and high hopes for the sun to stay out. The sun did did us proud, going by train made it even more special and now we're finding piles of sand everywhere - we seem to have brought an awful lot of Swanage home this trip! Another...
