http://slowtravelongrace.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html
A cruising family's tale. Thursday, March 11, 2010. After leaving Bonaire we traveled for the San Blas Islands. This group of Caribbean islands is located along the coast of South America. If, when you think of the Caribbean Islands you think of clear blue water, white sandy beaches and gently blowing palm trees that is the picture we woke up to each morning and enjoyed throughout the day. Good on him I say….what ever makes you happy. It is hard to believe we are nearly in the Pacific Ocean! Images, Inve...

A cruising family's tale. Sunday, May 9, 2010. Our final anchorage on the island of Isabella at Galapagos prior to setting off on our Pacific crossing proves to be a very friendly one. We spend our time with friends off the boats Nika and Elena, while the kids romp in the warm waters. We are not the only ones socializing.the boobies and the penguins are friendly, the turtles are very friendly. Each morning and afternoon we speak to other boats making the crossing with us and share our positions and cours...

A cruising family's tale. Friday, January 15, 2010. Sailing has slowed some what over the Christmas New Year period. We have been enjoying the sun and sand and all the delights the Caribbean has to offer. Mind you there has been hordes of people about on holidays. There are quite a few Aussies in the anchorage we have spent Christmas and New Year which was Admiralty Bay in Bequia. Christmas was a small affair on board Grace with the crew off Djarrka. At the lighting spectacle around us. Ice, laundry and ...

A cruising family's tale. Thursday, October 15, 2009. Morocco is a country of contrast. From rich and poor, colour and light, textures and smells, and mostly it is the feeling of the place you can really get absorbed into. We are so pleased that we have come here. As now we are here and have seen what we could have possibly missed we are enjoying it all the more. Quickwhip up a Moroccan flag" they cry! Our friendly welcoming commitee. 8217;s from the marina meet us out side the harbor to lead us in.

A cruising family's tale. Friday, July 31, 2009. We have had a busy time of things since I last wrote. Compiling the pictures for this blog has proved to be some what of a chore as there are simply too many good ones to choose from. The sails we have had have been fantastic, including a great spinnaker run from Corsica to the island of Elba and a down wind sleigh ride from Baratti to La Spezia! Hot and happy. The kids take a break. We found a rock and mineral shop while walking around town which took the...

A cruising family's tale. Sunday, July 18, 2010. It always surprises me as to how you meet people and where they actually hale from. A day out on our way into Niue, which is an island nation of less than 2,000 people north of the cooks, we were called on the radio by an Australia vessel ‘Paseafique’. AnnMarie and Patrice on board saw us sailing near them and thought they would say hello. Turns out they live in Martin Street, Peregian Beach! Almost a stones throw from our house. Small world! We had been t...
