Minor Distinctions: Green Lantern
http://minordistinctions.blogspot.com/2012/10/green-lantern.html
Tuesday, October 23, 2012. I originally had this idea for a mid-transformation Green Lantern as a potential Hallowe'en costume, until it kind of dawned on me how much work that would entail. So instead, I drew it. Onward and upwards, I guess, hope you enjoy this one! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. There was an error in this gadget. Minor Distinctions: December 2011
http://minordistinctions.blogspot.com/2011_12_01_archive.html
Wednesday, December 21, 2011. When friends ask me to draw things for them, I tend to try their patience quite a bit. I procrastinate until I feel bad about making them wait, so I then try to salvage my broken friendships by giving them a little extra. Here's one such occasion in which I drew Aquaman for a friend. And here it is in color, because I'm all about going above and beyond. Labels: Stephen Morrow DC Comics Aquaman Justice League Superheroes. Friday, December 2, 2011. Come by and say hi!

Minor Distinctions: July 2012

Monday, July 16, 2012. Jean Moebius Giraud 1938-2012. I was a fairly late convert to Jean Giraud (Moebius)'s work, despite being fluent in french, and having easy access to European Bandes D. Essinées, until my late teens I had only been aware of him through his work on Métal Hurlant (Heavy Metal). Since then I've made the effort to seek out more of his work, though I've still barely scratched the surface. I have been (slowly) working on this project called Pure Steele. Sunday, January 13, 2013. Scranton or The AmeriKim Dream. First post of 2013! While I haven't been the most prolific artist so far this year (or any year.) please don't mistake the lack of posting for a dip in productivity, in fact, there are big things coming along in the next few months! And finally, it would be a crime not to mention my involvement in Pure Steele. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile. There was an error in this gadget. Minor Distinctions: May 2012
http://minordistinctions.blogspot.com/2012_05_01_archive.html
Friday, May 25, 2012. I don't remember how or when I discovered Maurice Sendak's work. I know I didn't have any of his books lying around when I was a kid, so it was probably in my mid-to-late teens. One day I turned around and Where The Wild Things Are. Was suddenly a huge inspiration to me; I don't know what it is about that story that resonates with me in such a meaningful way, but it's just held such an important place for me that it feels like it's been around me forever. Tuesday, February 21, 2012. Madman: A step-by-step look. I've recently had a few people ask me about my process, so I thought it might be time to have a proper post regarding how I work. For this example, I decided to draw Mike Allred. Because I love his costume and felt like drawing a leather jacket. THE MADMAN 20th ANNIVERSARY MONSTER. Has just been released and it looks like a beautiful book, seek out a copy if you haven't yet! If I were to add a background, I would do this with a lightbox on a differ...
