A Texan in Sydney - Study Abroad Log

A Texan in Sydney - Study Abroad Log. Wednesday, August 24, 2011. Sorry it has taken me such a long time to finish this blog. I was weird driving again and not being overwhelmed by people everywhere I went. I do miss Sydney and the city, but I'm glad to back and start my final year at college. But first before w...

A Texan in Sydney - Study Abroad Log. Friday, March 4, 2011. Opera House Chocolate Pancakes = Awesome! This post is a little overdue, but I thought I could get away with it since I posted multiple times two weeks ago :). The week of the 14th-18th was crazy! The Residences here at UTS have had lot of events and I also had orientation! Pancakes on the Rocks is a famous restaurant in the Rocks (hence the name) which is near Sydney Harbor Bridge. Look it's me in a picture! Finally, the PANCAKES! So, if you d...

A Texan in Sydney - Study Abroad Log. Wednesday, May 25, 2011. On May 1st, we took at trip to the Gold Coast. A nice getaway about an hour or two south of Brisbane. Not much to say about the place but it was pretty cool! Just enjoy the lovely pictures :). Silly skyscrapers, casting huge shadows on the beach when we were trying to tan in the late afternoon! The most famous/popular beach in the Gold Coast. lots of surfing lessons going on for sure. The water was gorgeous and the waves were massive!

A Texan in Sydney - Study Abroad Log. Monday, April 25, 2011. So yay Friday the 15th was the first day of break so my roommate and I decided to celebrate by finally getting out of the apartment and go about town! Also, having someone with me means that I get to be in pictures! Part of the skyline with Town Hall on the right. Back in the Queen Victoria Building.so beautiful. I don't know if all the levels in this building are part of the bookstore, but it would be awesome if they were! I love this tree!

A Texan in Sydney - Study Abroad Log. Saturday, February 19, 2011. Gardens and Waters and Sharks! Sunday (Feb. 13th), we took it easy and walked through Darling Harbor. I forgot that the Chinese Year Dragon Boat Races were taking place that day, so the Harbor was very crowded. The atmosphere was alive and cheerful. I enjoyed some fish and chips (fries) and a mango with nutella chucks gelato, which was mighty tasty. Then we happened upon the Chinese Garden of Friendship. Which was very lovely. The first t...

Monday, June 21, 2010. The Glee of Three. The last few months have flown by and before I knew it, I ran out of time to make Lubbock's birthday party invitations. Pick your jaw up off the floor! The invitations for birthdays one. Were extremely intricate, but I had lots of fun making them. The idea I had for the third party invitation never looked as good in life as it did in my head. After a few attempts, I gave up and turned to my favorite card website, Tiny Prints. I set up an assortment of candy, clev...

I'm back with lots of pictures of my updated kitchen and dining room! I would like to see our politicians in general open up a page in the social network and be able to answer any doubts, complains or just simple questions we as citizens may have. I think it’s an awesome idea because we will be able to see our Politician’s real point of view towards any topic because they will be put on the spot. Monday, November 29, 2010. On top ...
