Tuesday, September 2, 2008. Another successful day on the potty. Joseph had another successful day using the potty. He wore his big boy britches all day at school with no accidents! This evening at bedtime, Joseph picked out two books to read. First, we read the new Brown Bear Brown Bear. And for his second story, the OLD Brown Bear Brown Bear. Ahhhh to be two again! Monday, January 19, 2009. After spending a day looking at farm animals, we decided to head over to the zoo and explore our wilder side. The wildest two animals may have been with us though. . This big rock has a rock lizard on it. Joseph ran straight up to the rock and started to climb up, until he saw the lizard and nearly jumped out his skin! Then everyone petted the rock lizard, just to make sure there were no hard feelings. . There was a parakeet habitat, where you could buy a stick to feed the birds.

Monday, September 22, 2008. As you probably know, Joseph and I headed cross country, 1900 miles, to see the Bulldawgs take on the Sun Devils in Tempe. And as you can probably guess, we had a blast! First thing when we got to Arizona, we got our vacation car and headed to Scottsboro where we visited the McCormick-Stillman Railroad Park. Visiting other cities reminds you what a raw deal we get here in Georgia with our public parks. This place had a replica 1:4 train that you could actually ride for $2!

Wednesday, September 10, 2008. So last Saturday, was a little warm . . . to say the least. But we had a good time. While most people try to recreate their living rooms at the tailgate site - there were plenty of folks there with televisions, satellites, and comfortable chairs, we went for the bathroom. Kellen is learning to play a game! Sunday night before bed he would bury his head in the sheets and then pop up smiling when I'd say 'peek-a-boo'. He has also learned to clap! Gotta love the drool! Wallpaper was made by the Devil. All pretty and neat when it's new.but a PAIN IN THE HINEY to take down! I will post before and after pictures if we ever make it to the 'after'. Our child has grown seven inches since birth! Kellen had his 6 month check up yesterday. He is 23 pounds 6 ounces and 29 inches long!

Wednesday, July 23, 2008. Guess how many tests I had this week? This was the most ridiculous educational week in the history of me. I'm taking 3 classes. You'd expect maybe a quiz or even 2 per class, right? Maybe a test per class? This week, I had EIGHT quizzes due today, 4 more due Friday, and this is only for 2 classes. The other class has, umm, 6 quizzes and 2 tests next week, plus 5 quizzes and 2 tests for the other 2 courses. I'm totally overwhelmed! So I'm grumpy and no one likes me today.

Lemuel will be starting. Believe it or not! I'm excited about myself, but it's been quite a while since I had homework and tests. We have an exciting school shopping trip coming up next week. Ugh. Thomas Family: 18 month check up

18 month check up. It's been a while since I posted so I thought I'd do a little Kellen update. :). We went to the doctor today for his 18 month 'well baby' check up. 33 pounds, 35 1/2 inches (that's almost 3 feet! The doctor was pretty impressed with his vocabulary. At first he was shy but after a few mins of her being in the room and talking to us he started with his normal talking. She said his vocab was better than a lot of 2 year olds that she sees. That made me really happy! 1 month - Easter.
