The challenge with this house was to design for a narrow city lot with constricting setback rules: a lot 25 feet wide with 5 foot setbacks. Allows only a 15 foot wide house! Walls framed with 2x6 for insulation ate up another foot, stairs to the second floor ate up precious floor. Space Locating the windows to not look into the neighbors windows was a trick. Getting a lot of daylight into the house was a must. Light. We designed and built a home in Port Royal, then sold it to move to Statesboro.
