I'm hoping some of you might be able to answer a few general questions. 1 What agencies have you all used? I've found some very specific ones on UFAAP's site. But then there's also the larger ones like GreatAuPair. Any recommendations? 2 How likely is it to be able to au pair in a specific location in the country?

Jul 23rd, 2009 @ 09:29 pm. I'm about to accept a position as an au pair in Rome for a family with a 15, 13 and 10 year old. I am very excited and they seem great. I was just wondering if anyone had any tips for a first time au pair as to how to get used to living with the family, make friends, budget (do I need to bring a lot of extra $? Etc As excited I as I am, I am also slightly nervous. Also, if there are any aupairs in/around Rome I'd love to hear from you! August 31st, 2009 10:49 pm (UTC).

So I'm not exactly sure when would be a good time to go through with this experience. Also is it better to go through a program like InterExchange or is it better to find a family on your own? Thank you for any help I really appreciate it.
