But that's really not true.). Excited" doesn't even BEGIN to describe it. This countdown is honestly unlike anything I've ever experienced. It's close.but not just like the feeling of getting your dream job and waiting for your first day at work. You hope you're qualified and pray that you don't mess it u...It's ...

The ramblings of a green-eyed girl in greenville, south carolina. Saturday, May 31, 2014. When we walked into the small, sunny sitting room, many of my kids looked up at me with questions in their eyes. Why are most of these people in wheelchairs? Why is everyone slumped over? Are they gonna wake up to hear us sing? Of course we talked about what the nursing home might look and sound and feel like back at school. But to stand there and experience it was a completely different thing. Was making little fun...

The ramblings of a green-eyed girl in greenville, south carolina. Monday, April 28, 2014. Check out this picture of me decked out head to toe in Furman gear. Furman sweatpants, got cold, and put on a. Sweatshirt too. I didn't realize right away that it had FURMAN emblazoned in huge letters on the front. Total fashion faux pas people. Might as well mix sports teams or wear Nikes with Under Armour workout gear. Who am I kidding? I do that all the time too.). It was hilarious and ridiculous and nostalgic.

The ramblings of a green-eyed girl in greenville, south carolina. Sunday, October 27, 2013. This one gives new meaning to airing my dirty laundry in public. Except in this case, it's my clean laundry.). Ok, here goes. I don't pair up my socks. I just stuff them in a crowded drawer. There's not enough room for a grain of sand in there. In fact, when I open the drawer about an inch, socks come flying out from the extreme pressure they are under. It's like they come out gasping for air. Sock drawer, before:.

The ramblings of a green-eyed girl in greenville, south carolina. Thursday, August 25, 2011. My Birthday Wish List. In a few days I turn the ripe old age of 27. I'm not too thrilled. 27 sounds waaaay closer to 30 than 26 does. Plus, I thought I just turned 26 like an hour ago. Why is time zipping by at such an impossibly fast rate? How have I been out of college for (gulp! How are all my friends having babies that now have birthdays of their own? 2 A birthday serenade from Blake Shelton. 9 Getting to cro...

The ramblings of a green-eyed girl in greenville, south carolina. Saturday, January 26, 2013. Song Saturday #15 - Worth the Wait. A college admission acceptance letter from Furman. Really, really good concert tickets. A job offer to teach at the most perfect school. There are some things in life that are worth waiting for. Big things, little things. Doesn't matter. The waiting stinks, but it makes the event that much sweeter. More than one baby. And I am so, truly happy for each of them. Hey pretty girl,...

The ramblings of a green-eyed girl in greenville, south carolina. Friday, December 28, 2012. When you think of your hometown, what is the first thing you think of? But as I wandered the streets of downtown Asheville with my baby sister today, I couldn't help but be swept away by some pretty amazing street art. It is random and weird and funky and bright. It is like my hometown. Unusual. Obstinately different. Deliberately weird. Yep This sparkling little artsy town, nestled in the Blue Ridge mountains,.
