Homeowners Dues

2015 Homeowners dues are $173.00. Payable to: Avonlea Homeowners' Association. PO Box 3088 Lacey, WA 98509. Annual statements will be mailed early December 2014. They are required to be paid by 1/1/2015. A 10% late fee is assessed which may result in foreclosure of a lien should payment be received after 30 days. See the lien page for more details. If you are concerned about how your dues are spent, please see the see the section "Where Does My Money Go" or contact the board.

Where Does My Money Go? Board members hear this question several times each year. The Avonlea Homeowners Association consists of 144 homes. When a homeowner does not pay dues, the board is required to put a lien on their home. At this time we have approximately 6 homes with liens with a balance of over $4,500 in unpaid dues. Members are welcome at all meetings. The meetings are normally held the 4th Thursday of each month at a board members home at 6:30 PM. Liens are added when approved by the Board of Directors. The purpose of the liens are to ensure that the homeowners association receives full payment of dues from each homeowner. If a home is sold and liens are still owing - the lien ensures that the board will be paid for any outstanding liens. When liens are added to the charges for the homeowner, they will include the cost charged by the Thurston County Assessors Office. Currently the filing fee is $72 to add and remove liens.
