Saturday, May 19, 2012. And On His Farm He Had A. Kale, and brussel sprouts in the various fields. We have direct seeded: potatoes (a task that took almost two whole days for the almost one acre of potatoes! Peas, green bush beans, chinese cabbage, beets, arugula, mizuna, tats tsoi, broccoli raab, spinach, and carrots in the fields. The west greenhouse is looking fantastic with healthy beds of carrots, beets, spinach, two types of head lettuce and pac choy. All in all it has been a fantastic first month!

A: Work outside, you know, just farming. 30 minutes up, back to work! Mondays and Wednesdays we are lucky to usually have 2 or 3 volunteers throughout the day, today we were very lucky to have two in the afternoon one even made quiche, with lots of tasty organic ingredients, for us to share at lunch!
