Welcome to Harrington's Big Backyard. Take a Walk through a Second Grader's Eyes. In the fall second graders will discover and compare the habitats of insects. Close observations will be made of the Monarch butterfly and other active insects in the school yard. In winter, the students will study the different states of water. In the spring they will study soil, its origins, the role of living things in making it and the importance of non-living things in soil. Please check the walk schedule.
