Cape Town is tantalisingly close – 150km or a 90-minute drive, but for Kevin it’s around 300km to make it to his final destination – Cape Point. The Freedom Challenge is an unsupported mountain bike race from Pietermaritzburg to Wellington, totaling about 2300km's. It's a lifetime's riding done in a few weeks and everyday there's something that takes your breath away.
