http://morningcoffee.blogspot.com/2015/07/beauty-is-wrong-paradigm-poem-for-girls.html
Wednesday, July 22, 2015. Beauty is the Wrong Paradigm (a poem for girls). I would rather be courageous than beautiful. I would rather be strong. I would rather stand with my face to the wind. In wide, open spaces where my soul can be. Than have the need. I would rather be remembered for what I DO. I want the world to see me and say. There goes a maker." and. Look at the work of her hands. And her mind.and her soul.". I would rather be loving than beautiful. Love lasts forever,. Girls, oh girls! This is ...

Morning Coffee: September 2014
http://morningcoffee.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
Sunday, September 28, 2014. And Wes is a walking miracle. He has the most aggressive type of brain cancer there is (Glioblastoma) for which there is no remission and no cure.and so far he is still able to drive, program, work, talk, .all that normal stuff. He is himself.with side effects from the chemo. This is the cancer that has a 14 month median survival rate WITH TREATMENT. Me, on the other hand: I am a wreck. What if Wes lives for another ten years? Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Eschatological Psychosis: Mission Brewery Shipwrecked Double IPA Review
http://sublimitynow.blogspot.com/2012/06/mission-brewery-shipwrecked-double-ipa.html
We have no time now to hear your philosophy. Don't you know that the end of this world is coming and the judgment of God is at the door? Wednesday, June 27, 2012. Mission Brewery Shipwrecked Double IPA Review. San Diego Style Double India Pale Ale. 925% ABV. 75 IBU. 12 SRM. So, back to the smell: incredibly. It's stronger on the tongue than the nose- the bitterness jumps out pretty strong, but for a double IPA the hops are surprisingly subdued (note that this does not mean they're not very prevalent!

Eschatological Psychosis: Intersubjectivity's just another word for nothing left to lose
http://sublimitynow.blogspot.com/2012/07/intersubjectivitys-just-another-word.html
We have no time now to hear your philosophy. Don't you know that the end of this world is coming and the judgment of God is at the door? Saturday, July 7, 2012. Intersubjectivity's just another word for nothing left to lose. Don't worry, I'm still putting together more posts, but in the meantime:. Contrary to popular perception, the cause of the eclipse of myth as a way of knowing reality and hence as a path to wisdom is not the contrast. Vaunted claims to objectivity and exactness, is deeply metaphorical.

Eschatological Psychosis: November 2011
http://sublimitynow.blogspot.com/2011_11_01_archive.html
We have no time now to hear your philosophy. Don't you know that the end of this world is coming and the judgment of God is at the door? Saturday, November 26, 2011. Alone with Billie's even worse - "I cant see anything to do now," she says by the fire like an ancient Salem housewife ("Or Salem witch? I'm leering) - "I could have Elliott taken care of in a private home or an orphanage and just go to a nunnery myself, there's a lot of them around - or I could kill myself and Elliott both" -. She asks soft...

Gower Street: on economics 2
http://gowerstreet.blogspot.com/2008/09/on-economics-2.html
Theology, History, Anglican Communion doings, Food, Urban Design and Architecture, &c.: Ever seeking to prove that half is rather a lot of wit. Thursday, September 25, 2008. I've mentioned elsewhere the tendency to think of economics as more-or-less a set of natural laws (e.g. the free market), and this correlates with its being taught (usually) as more-or-less a science. Yet it is also, intrinsically. Is economics primarily to do with science, a matter of nature? The specific economic arrangements- whet...

Gower Street: Back?
http://gowerstreet.blogspot.com/2008/09/back.html
Theology, History, Anglican Communion doings, Food, Urban Design and Architecture, &c.: Ever seeking to prove that half is rather a lot of wit. Monday, September 08, 2008. I am shocked to realise it has been nearly two and a half months since I last posted.it seemed much longer than that. I've been busy, and am likely to be much busier for the near future, but don't give up on old Gower Street, and I'll try to do the same. By the way, for those of you keeping score at home: This is post #501. Theolog, bl...

Morning Coffee: November 2014

Wednesday, November 12, 2014. Saint on the Paint. Nativity Fast is coming up, starting on Saturday (for those of us on the New Calendar). Now that my children are almost grown, or grown, and far too old for things like this, my head is full of ideas of things that would be so much fun for a mama with younger children to do with them at this time of year. I also made Jesse Tree ornaments when my kids were way too old, so I missed the Jesse Tree boat as well. Saint on the Paint. It might be an act of servi...
