Little Cat Update - Bertha. Dec 20th, 2005 10:37 am. Just heard from the vet. Little cat is out of surgery and recovering comfortably (they said it took a fair amount of anaesthesia to put her under—not surprising considering how frightened she was). Pregnant. Her little bulging belly and swaybacked walk really had us fooled. She did have roundworms. She tested negative for Feline HIV and leukemia. She was also in heat. I just upgraded my blog to the latest version of WordPress, and my crossposting plugin is not compatible. As I'm far too lazy to do it manually, the posts will be limited to BerthaBlog. Until the plugin gets updated (assuming it ever does). It has an RSS feed, so if you pick things up with Google Reader or another newsfeed aggregator, you won't have to make an extra trip to keep up with my fascinating doings.

Poor Phurball - Bertha. Jan 9th, 2006 06:21 pm. I came home with my son this afternoon. Put my purse down on the table, reached behind me to give the door a little push to close it. It swung most of the way and stopped—no noise to indicate why, it just stopped. I turned around to see what was blocking it. There, in the doorway, stood Phurball, the door gently rebounding off his body, an expression of long-suffering exasperation on his face. Poor old man. The things he puts up with.
