I've been there for 8weeks now. I love it! Okay, funny stories:. His latest saying is when you are doing something that is making him laugh, he says "stop doing that, you're cracking me out! Jamie was saying our nightly prayers and when he said amen, James said "daddy are you finished? I know there are more stories, but I am ...

Thursday, January 20, 2011. Our Life with NLD. Must learn to take the perspective of others, we have to take their perspective, too, to understand what our words mean to them." Never assume your child knows something just because he "should" or because "everyone knows that." There are no " shoulds. For children with NLD. Those that have been around Madeline a lot know that she can not be over prepared. Well, I think that is enough for today. I have so much information coming in that at least this is ...

Lason4: Continuous Exposure
http://lason4.blogspot.com/2011/03/continuous-exposure.html
Tuesday, March 22, 2011. Madeline's therapist has been talking to me about the concept of continuous exposure. I read about it in the book I've been reading about NLD. I was so happy when she said, "Well, Brody said, 'What do you want to play? And I decided to let him pick so I said 'Why don't you pick today? And he picked robots." It was a HUGE victory! Every time she is able to do this she will be teaching her brain that it is OK. March 26, 2011 at 5:09:00 PM CDT. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

http://babygirl-jan.blogspot.com/2008/07/parenthood-why-again-did-i-agree-to.html
Live each day as if it were your last! Thursday, July 17, 2008. Parenthood - Why again did I agree to this? Well, if all goes well tomorrow I might have a job. I have interviewed twice now for a position on the oncology unit at Baptist. I feel really good about it. I know this is where I need to be. I can relate to what each family is going through. So, we will see. So tonight after I mowed the yard I decided to load the boys up and go to Wal. In the front, but Wal. Mart doesn't have them yet?

I hate that all my boys know of you is that you were my Daddy and you live in heaven. How do you answer a sad 3 year old when he says "Why couldn't Grandfather stay here with us? I was 21 - still a baby trying to f...

Tuesday, January 25, 2011. A few more insights from my book-. Generally have poor safety awareness because they don't anticipate the consequences of their actions. They are prone to frequent injuries.". Visual perception is another area of deficit. Spatial thinking develops in infancy from the information gained from exploration. Lason4: August 2009
http://lason4.blogspot.com/2009_08_01_archive.html
Sunday, August 30, 2009. My baby is in Kindergarten! She started last week and LOVES it! She is at Wheaton Christian Grammar School and we are thrilled for her to have the opportunity to be there. It is the school I went to K-8 and had a great experience. I had to take her picture by the sign by the road because, Lord willing, this is the last year in their current building. Construction is underway for a fantastic new building that the school hopes to move into next summer. First comes our only family v...
