About - Billericay Action Group
http://www.billericayactiongroup.org.uk/about.html
Billericay Action Group (BAG) is comprised of local volunteers who give their time and energy to inform and represent Billericay residents on town planning matters, primarily the Basildon Borough Local Plan. The Action Group includes residents of Great Burstead and South Green. We are non-party political: we seek collaboration with councillors and officials responsible for planning and we challenge any politician whose actions and words endanger Billericay’s Green Belt and the character of our town.

South East Essex Action Group Alliance: BAG - Billericay Action Group
http://www.seeaga.uk/BAG.html
BAG - Billericay Action Group. Billericay Action Group was formed in early 2014 in response to Basildon Borough Council s Consultation on their draft Local Plan. The plan proposed the building of 16,000 new homes in the Borough by 2031, with 2500 in Billericay of which 2300 would be on our Green Belt. We have successfully fought an election for a seat on Billericay Town Council, have a regular newsletter and continue to campaign to protect our Green Belt and our town s historic character.

Their findings have been published since then, including a full archaeological report on Roman occupation in the area. Although modern regulations now prevent amateur excavations, they still look for possible evidence on any modern local developments, in which case attention is drawn to council archaeologists.
