I grew up in ‘Dunmoochin’, an artist’s enclave on the outskirts of Melbourne. After living in St.Kilda for many years I am now back in the bush, on the outskirts of Castlemaine. Because of this, I find myself painting more and more from a bird’s eye view, much as aboriginal people do. The only way to really see such a flat landscape. Making fashion sense of a crazy mixed-up world. How to come up with an idea. November 10, 2016. December 10, 2016. That heading is only slightly flippant. When I am sitting at my market stall and someone expresses an interest in our ‘Backyard Fishing’ tee, I enjoy telling the story of how that design came about and it is how most of our t-shirt ideas are formed. By thinking for a while, sometimes years, about things, and trying to make meaningful connections to and between them. Lovely story, Bradley.
