Well, it is not really a mountain…. It’s an undulating plateau, a maximum 8 kms long and 4kms wide, at 500-550 metres above sea level and lofted above the hinterland between the Pacific and the Great Dividing Range: an island in the sky with shores of subtropical rainforest home to over 7000 people who are settled along its length and breadth.
