My Ireland, a knitted journey. My Ireland, a Celtic Cape knit along. Just about a year ago now, I received an invitation to join a group on Ravelry.com called 'Ryans Eejits and those that fit in' . I accepted the invitation and found a family. Then last fall, Meagheen (hereafter called Meggie! Asked who among us might be interested in knitting a Celtic cape. I think she might have been overwhelmed by the resounding response she got! To see more of this incredible artist's work, please check out Meagheen'...

Celtic Cape KAL Journey: Back and Behind
http://catladycelticcapejourney.blogspot.com/2011/03/back-and-behind.html
Celtic Cape KAL Journey. This is my journey/journal while knitting on the Celtic Cape, a (limited) KAL that I joined from Ravelry. Monday, March 14, 2011. Finding time to work on this project isn't going well right now. I need to concentrate on the cable part, so I don't mess it up. For some strange reason, I'm having difficulty working from the chart, and need to go with the written directions. And, since I'm mildly dyslexic, the process is slowed down this way. I started the sock, and I'm making progress! Lesson for the day: Do what you are told, not what you think you should do. Trust the pattern. Sunday, January 30, 2011. First, the excitement :). We got a sock pattern! What a great excuse to knit up a pair of socks in my favourite yarn to make socks with! And it has cables and everything! Is it even more...

Celtic Cape KAL Journey. This is my journey/journal while knitting on the Celtic Cape, a (limited) KAL that I joined from Ravelry. Thursday, February 3, 2011. Good for showing the colour. This is the sock being tried on to make sure it was the right length. Bad colour, good detail :) The sock after grafting and weaving tails. But, I now have one of my darning needles stored with my craft supplies in the livingroom. I still have plenty of them in my travel tin. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

My Knitting Journey: Éire
http://myknittingjourney-robin.blogspot.com/2011/02/eire.html
Saturday, February 12, 2011. Well I have taken a break from my cape hood. I couldn't decide how to finish it off. I will post it when I have finished with it. I picked it back up again today. I have learned so much since joining in on this adventure. The Ryan family is so giving with their talent and have adopted all of us into the family. I also had to add pictures of my grand daughter Katie. She picked up my hat when it was almost done, YIKES. She said, "grandma I am knitting like you! Time to Catch Up.

My Knitting Journey: My Celtic Cape
http://myknittingjourney-robin.blogspot.com/2011/01/my-celtic-cape.html
Thursday, January 27, 2011. Well this is a first for me. I have never attempted to blog before. I have begun a year long journey of knitting a Celtic Cape. Wow I have never done anything this massive before. My largest project was a zip up hoodie knit in stockinette stitch out of Red Heart. Boring! This is going to be so much fun, if I can keep up that is. I really only have time to knit on the weekend. I have a more than full time job that greatly interferes with my knitting.
