While the majority of the Area Agencies on Aging across the Commonwealth are operated by county government, the Blair County Board of Commissioners chose to establish Blair Senior Services, Inc. as a private non-profit corporation. Of the current fifty-two Area Agencies on Aging which serve the Commonwealth’s sixty-seven counties, only nineteen are non-profit corporations. The Agency is governed by a fifteen member Board of Directors.
