Saturday, October 27, 2012. We kept things simple for Halloween 2012. Nathan and I threw together a little owl costume the day of the Trunk-or-Treat at Emersyn's Nana's ward. We guesstimate that it took us 3 hours to cut out and sew on all of the little feathers and put her mask together. She still loves to wear her owl hoodie even after Halloween has passed, so I guess it was a success! In her words she dressed as "a scowy owl! Friday, August 31, 2012. Nathan and I ventured out on August 18th to participate in the 5K run/walk held at the Farmington Fairgrounds in conjunction with the Davis County Fair. I signed up for the walk knowing that I wouldn't be able to run, and Nathan was signed up to run. From the looks of it, I came in about 5th to last place - out of everyone in the entire race! Afterwards we gobbled down a delish breakfast at Sill's in Layton - I will never tire of breakfast from Sill's! Cutest hospital patient ever.

Friday, August 31, 2012. Delicious BBLT (yes, double bacon! And kettle fried chips from Corner Bakery. I never craved pickles with #1, but this time around. YUM! Fresh cucumbers dipped in homemade Ranch - not such a bad craving I suppose. Not so much a craving, but a "necessity" after giving up soda. I am ALWAYS tired and this helps the energy levels! On an as-needed basis. Peaches and Cream. Well, actually milk. With a dash of sugar. Heaven! Ice Cream. On occasion, of course. Mmmm! That it was time.
