http://oursilkroad.blogspot.com/2012/06/one-year-ago-today.html
If you are new to our journey, start here. Wednesday, June 13, 2012. One Year Ago Today. One year ago today we met our precious daughter, Sophia Elizabeth, for the very first time. After three years of working on her adoption and waiting for God's timing, it was like a dream come true. I've been reminiscing and rejoicing in how God has continued to work in Sophia's life and our lives over the past year. If you care to reminisce, here are my posts from that day. Praising God for His faithfulness. 10/14/10...

Our Silk Road: What A Day! Part Three
http://oursilkroad.blogspot.com/2011/06/what-day-part-three.html
If you are new to our journey, start here. Monday, June 13, 2011. We were served lunch- Chinese take out (ha! While hanging out for awhile, waiting for the time we could check into our hotel. Finally we packed everything up- including the duffel bag and big box- hailed a cab, and headed to our hotel. Sophia loved riding in the car. She loves to observe what is going on around her, and she thought the beeping of the cab's meter was especially entertaining! We believe that her foster parents loved her very...

Our Silk Road: October 2011
http://oursilkroad.blogspot.com/2011_10_01_archive.html
If you are new to our journey, start here. Wednesday, October 19, 2011. Yesterday marked four months that we have been home with Sophia. It really is amazing how far she and we have come in four short months! God has been faithful in her life and will continue to be so! Sophia is now walking all over the place independently.she is definitely relishing in her new found freedom! This past month Sophia also began attending classes at church with her same age peers instead of being in the nursery, and she is...

Our Silk Road: Forever Family Day...A Year Later
http://oursilkroad.blogspot.com/2012/06/forever-family-daya-year-later.html
If you are new to our journey, start here. Thursday, June 14, 2012. Forever Family Day.A Year Later. What a difference a year makes! In the throes of adjustment, sleep deprivation, and PADS after Sophia came home last year, I never thought I would make it through another day, let alone a whole year! Sophia on her first "Forever Family" day, one year ago. Her foster mother felt as though she was "giving one of her children away as in marriage", thus the white dress. Vision: Sophia received glasses a coupl...

Our Silk Road: Taiwanese Sisters
http://oursilkroad.blogspot.com/2012/06/taiwanese-sisters.html
If you are new to our journey, start here. Saturday, June 9, 2012. Our hope and prayer is that we can maintain our relationship over the distance and allow Sophia and Teagan to grow up together as Taiwanese sisters. It was so neat to see how God clearly put each little girl in the family where she fit best.just another reminder of God's faithfulness in our adoption journeys! Thanks, Mandi, for a great weekend.until next time! We had a great time and are so happy we got to do that! June 14, 2012 at 2:42 PM.
