BMX tec - BMX Product Design Blog. Bikes, parts, manufacturing and prototypes: Plastic Death Stem
http://bmx-tec.blogspot.com/2010/02/plastic-death-stem.html
New Simple Eject v4 PC stem. After doing massive material research we came across this High Strength Plastic, with an incredibly high molecular mass. This allows us to make a very light, yet very strong stem without compromising on the durability. We have taken this stem through a lot of testing and abuse to see how it would hold up, and so far it's proved to last very well.". Novel idea, would like to see how it turns out. SPRFLS: April 2009
http://sprfls.blogspot.com/2009_04_01_archive.html
Monday, April 27, 2009. A Shot In the Dark. Jenny Craig ain't got shit on BMX. Around here it's all weight loss, all the time. Like my man Charles Oakley once said, "if it ain't broke, break it." Or at least triple-butt and flute it and drill it out. (What caliber are those cranks, anyway? At least the crank update makes sense. Profile cranks have been more or less the same since Eric Rupe was running a JESUS LIVES. Number plate, and people have been running hollow spindles for years. But the forks?

SPRFLS: July 2009
http://sprfls.blogspot.com/2009_07_01_archive.html
Friday, July 31, 2009. Defenders of the Faith. Generally, I'm not one to do blog posts as responses to a post on a different website that was a response to one of my own earlier posts. It seems silly—like having what should be a private argument while yelling over a speakerphone on a crowded street: "LOOK, I KNOW YOU'RE THE ONE WHO GAVE ME THE GODDAMN HERPES! DO I LOOK LIKE THE KIND OF PERSON WHO GETS LAID ALL THE TIME? OK, maybe it's just me. First, a few seemingly disjointed facts:. Nope They went back...

SPRFLS: September 2009
http://sprfls.blogspot.com/2009_09_01_archive.html
Thursday, September 24, 2009. I don't even know what that header means, I just didn't want to be left out in the cold. No, I'm not in Las Vegas. I keep saying I'm going to go to Interbike, and then I realize that there are roughly 674,904,783 places I'd rather go than Las Vegas. And if I wanted to hang out with BMXers, I'd ride my bike. To keep this vaguely relevant, I'd just like to say that Macneil's going back to the 22.2mm seatpost standard. Or was that Silent Bob's idea? Tuesday, September 1, 2009.

SPRFLS: Getting Back In Gear
http://sprfls.blogspot.com/2010/10/getting-back-in-gear.html
Wednesday, October 13, 2010. Getting Back In Gear. Well, good to see I'm still an idiot. As if the name ("Iron Man") and the lack of a steel insert for the splines and the weight and THE FACT THAT IT SAYS 4130 RIGHT IN THE DESCRIPTION. 8226;••••••. I just looked up "BMX" on Google Image Search and this was the first result. Maybe next time I should turn "Safe Search" on? Labels: progress is a debt we all must pay. Splines are the new bolts. I love the idea of eliminating fasteners. See also complaints of...

SPRFLS: How Much Is Enough?
http://sprfls.blogspot.com/2010/10/how-much-is-enough.html
Wednesday, October 20, 2010. How Much Is Enough? Anonymous 10:55 made a good point on the 10/15 post: Frame companies aren't offering many differences these days other than image. Basic geometry is set, materials are (for the most part) the same, and (other than Sunday) so is the shape/diameter of tubing. After decades of experimentation. Which, if you think about it, doesn't seem like a terribly sustainable model. In skateboarding it is. Decks are disposable. October 20, 2010 at 3:17 PM. This is just pl...

SPRFLS: Scam Bars?
http://sprfls.blogspot.com/2008/08/scam-bars.html
Monday, August 18, 2008. Apologies for the later-than-all-hell post—I'm just awakening from the coma the new S&M bars sent me into:. For more, check the S&M website, specifically the news section.). Then, of course, there is the matter of that crossbar. I can't decide whether it looks more like a pair of Chinese fingercuffs (word to Rick Derris and Cohee Lundin. Or knocking your chin on it on a big gap? Or if it takes a direct impact from.anything? Labels: S and M. Is that song from nowhere fast? I'm con...

BMX tec - BMX Product Design Blog. Bikes, parts, manufacturing and prototypes: Positive - Negative
http://bmx-tec.blogspot.com/2009/05/positive-negative.html
This blog had some hate poured over it the other day - in the comments on this page. I've taken this criticism onboard and I am determined to make BMXtec a bettter blog. The post I made. That inspired this negativity, was in itself at least 50% negative. It seems this level of negativity may inspire negativity in others. From here on in I will be adopting a blog-wide content policy that enforces a minimum level of 75% positive content. Enjoy your day :). You shouldn't have responded to that.
