Making Scrap Quilts from Stash

Making Scrap Quilts from Stash. Published March 18, 2018. 1 Comment on Half Square Triangles. Tomorrow I get to spend time in the sewing room and I’m ready to start something new … since I need to deal with blue scraps I’m going to plan 2 maybe 3 quilts with half square triangles. I’ll start with a scrappy version of this drawing. Just HSTs and squares made with 4 inch blocks, it will be a nice size quilt – 64×80. Published March 18, 2018. 2 Comments on Yesterday and today. I got out yesterday and today for 5 mile walks and I’m about to go run some errands and then spend some time in Barnes and Nobles – yep, that’s my idea of fun – getting a coffee and browsing in a book store! Yesterday’s walk was on the Nolan Trail. Today’s was just to the Lion’s Bridge and back to my brother’s house. August 19th, 2016 Author: Mary. Keith was...

Making Scrap Quilts from Stash

http://blog.maryquilts.com/page/2

August 4th, 2016 Author: Mary. Most of the time I don’t worry too much about the size of my stash but sometimes I wonder how I’m going to use it all up and why I keep adding to it. I got the idea to use the blues from this antique one from eBay but my quilt will be made from multiple blues and shirting fabrics and I like a 3 rail sash with the 9 patch cornerstones for it. Let the binding begin…. August 4th, 2016 Author: Mary. These planned HeartStrings quilts are inspired by Sharon in Maine who has an ab...

I pulled some of Keith’s Mom to share with the boys …. 8230; and also came across these taken in VA at my Mom’s. I guess my mind is still on mothers and Mother’s Day. I quilted a while after dinner with Chesty curled up beside me. He was sick all last night so I’m hoping tonight will be better for all of us. 8 Responses to “Memories”. Girl in the stix:.

Making Scrap Quilts from Stash: Favorite Apps

http://blog.maryquilts.com/favorite-apps

I’m always being asked about my favorite apps so here’s a list. Some of these are iPhone and iPad apps others are just for the iPad. The iPhone ones will be smaller in size on the iPad. Some apps have both an iPhone and an iPad app so watch out for that in the App store and buy the iPad app if they have one. 8211; I use this on the iPhone an iPad and carry my family tree with me. 8211; great for research notes. 8211; For reading genealogy books and references I find free online. 8211; I don’t use t...

IRISHLAKEQUILTER: What's On My Wall and More.........

http://irishlakequilter.blogspot.com/2011/01/whats-on-my-wall-and-more.html

Snippets and quilts, family, pets and friends. Thursday, January 27, 2011. What's On My Wall and More. What is on my "wall" today? This picture shows the start of a 4000 piece quilt that I am making for Michael's girlfriend, Jen. Since the photo was taken, I've increased the number of blocks to over 30 (there are 200)in the quilt and I may reduce that to a number less than the 200. These little blocks take a long time to make and accuracy, as I'm learning rapidly, if of utmost importance! Watermark templ...

Snippets and quilts, family, pets and friends. Thursday, September 11, 2008. Not a thing comes to mind for a title on this post. Summer is winding down, much to my dismay. Everything is coming all at once and my blog has taken back seat. Do I make kits and put them all together and schlep those to and fro? I try to do the latter, but that elusive piece of fabric is always at the other end! Retreat - it's that time already! Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Snippets and quilts, family, pets and friends. Sunday, December 26, 2010. We awoke to 8" of new snow this morning - totally surprised us all! We jokingly laughed at the predictions that had been on TV for the past few days because it had not hit us by last night. It is truly gorgeous out there! A cardinal or a deer amongst the trees would make a wonderful Christmas card photo for next year. Here's a shot from a few days ago. Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas! E sewing machine (his birthday present to me for my 34th) and brought it home. It is rusting in places, but I am a firm believer in persistence. I doused it with WD-40, got out the Q-tips and some rags and went at it. It isn't very good yet, but it runs! Links to this post. Thursday, June 19, 2008.
