Our Next Great Adventure: Hump Day
http://schmidtadventure.blogspot.com/2009/08/hump-day.html
Our Next Great Adventure. Wednesday, August 19, 2009. The hardest part of the week would have to be the lack of running water. We have been filling up buckets from water trucks and flushing toilets to the best of our ability. No laundry has been done, and cooking is near impossible. But, I am happy to report, that as of 4 am this morning, the water has returned. How do I know is was 4am? Wally heard the banging of the pipes as the water entered them. Our Next Great Adventure: Our Kitchen
http://schmidtadventure.blogspot.com/2009/08/our-kitchen.html
Our Next Great Adventure. Friday, August 14, 2009. Our water has returned! It is so nice to have water back, a fews days without and no dishwasher means a huge stack of dishes! Our drain has this really neat basket that catches food. It can be removed and emptied into the trash. I love it! I want one in my Umatilla kitchen. After cleaning up the house, it is time for me to grab a bath. I love my bath tub here! Ben really loved them! More pics at http:/ picasaweb.google.com/schmmems/Waterreturn.

Our Next Great Adventure: "You're not like most Westerners"
http://schmidtadventure.blogspot.com/2009/08/youre-not-like-most-westerners.html
Our Next Great Adventure. Friday, August 21, 2009. You're not like most Westerners". We gathered ten people to a table. Each table had a box on it. There was also a plate of Salt-cooked chicken. Picture a whole chicken, cut up, and cooked. Did I mention that it was black? After most of the meat was cooked, I threw the fish on the grill. The fish was very similar to the ballyhoo that we used to troll with on Poppy's boat, minus the bait skirt. When it was done grilling, I pulled it off of the heat...As we...

http://schmidtadventure.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html
Our Next Great Adventure. Monday, March 23, 2009. 18 weeks and counting. We leave for Taiwan in 18 weeks. A little over four months. I have so much to do! The kids seem rather excited. Lizzie has decided that she is getting both a chicken and kitty when we get there. Ben wants to see all of the video games. I don't know where they are getting their images of Taiwan, but I do find it amusing. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). 18 weeks and counting. Lao Ren Cha - 老人茶. A hungry girl's guide to taipei.

Our Next Great Adventure: Our New Home
http://schmidtadventure.blogspot.com/2009/08/our-new-home.html
Our Next Great Adventure. Thursday, August 6, 2009. After almost a week of living in the dorms, we have finally moved into our house. We saw many apartments before deciding on this one, but we are very happy with our decision. We almost chose a different one, and were all set to close the deal, until the landlord told the agent that she did not want kids in the place. Whatever! Our Next Great Adventure: January 2009
http://schmidtadventure.blogspot.com/2009_01_01_archive.html
Our Next Great Adventure. Friday, January 23, 2009. The Passing of David Donohue. Yesterday we were told that my cousin, David Donohue, had been found dead. I would like to share my most favorite memory of my cousin with all. Rest in peace, man. Sunday, January 11, 2009. When it rains, it pours (but with a positive connotation). As soon as we accepted, we got emails from two other schools, schools that we had really been interested in. Isn't it funny that way? Thursday, January 8, 2009. Lao Ren Cha - 老人茶.
