Counseling services are to be offered to all those dealing directly or indirectly with the student with developmental difficulties. Parents and family members would be equipped with the needed skills to enable them accomplish their role in the developmental process. Counseling would be provided by our psychologists, therapists and specialized teachers. The success of the plans depends, to a great extent, on the continuous cooperation of the parents and family members with our support team.

FDA was conceived in 1978 in Lebanon (Decree No.60/a.d.- 26/4/1978) by a group of concerned parents whose children have different disabilities, together with prominent society members. FDA is supported by the Ministry of Social Affairs, the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Labor through the National Employment Institute.

Facilities at our I'dad Center are:. 10,000 sq. meters land. 7,430 sq. meters, 4 floors building. 140 seats assembly hall and convention center. Kitchens and large dining hall. The Assessment process tracks five developmental domains; Gross Motor, Fine Motor, Communication, Cognition, Social and Emotional. The results will determine the levels of difficulties, and will formulate the diagnosis of the variable levels of capacity development. This will help determine the magnitude of required support across those domains.

Early intervention is the principal step in every capacity building process for a newly born child diagnosed with developmental difficulties. At our I'dad Center, we intervene very early, starting at the age of 1 year, to provide the child with well-planned support programs to help him gain and improve skills in various cognitive, sensory, motor and communication domains. He will be exposed to various psycho-sensory-motor stimulatory programs to facilitate his spontaneous development.
