Confessions of a Bookaholic. Thursday, February 28, 2013. Dying to Read by Lorena McCourtney. Book 1 in McCourtney's Cate Kincade File series. I have read McCourtney's Ivy Malone series a few years ago and enjoyed them immensely, so felt certain this book would be worth reading. It was. McCourtney has a quirky sense of humor that comes out in her books without overshadowing the plot. In Dying to Read. Now if only Cate can discover did the killing and why. before getting herself killed in the process!

Confessions of a Bookaholic. Saturday, July 21, 2012. The Anonymous Bride by Vickie McDonough. Yet another new-to-me author and again one I will be reading again! Loved this book. I confess the cover reeled me in. it is just too cute and I felt sure the story would live up to my expectations. and it did! This is book one of the Texas Boardinghouse Brides. Luke is not willing to forgive much less forget and Rachel is resigned to living life without love. There is a great deal of competition as each lady i...

So here's what's been happening in the Study-O concerning sewing / quilting / fabric. I love the bright colors and especially the pink and green ribbon for the ties! I have seen several scrap...

http://thequiltingbelle.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html

Quilting in the hot humid South and loving every minute of it! Saturday, October 18, 2014. The beginning of this year brought the beginning of a new season for me (and my husband). our nest is empty and I am working full time again. We were also exhausted having started off the year with our son's Wedding on Jan. 4, 2014. Very little sewing / quilting has happened this year as I strive to find a new rhythm to life. The table was made by my husband's grandfather. My husband never knew him (though they...

Would love to have an LQS closer, but alas. the new one is. you guessed it. about 30-35 minutes away. But what a fun shop! Labels: Cotton Blossom Farm. Next week it will ...

Quilting in the hot humid South and loving every minute of it! Thursday, March 14, 2013. I whipped together another Quilts for Kids. Quilt This one was super quick and easy. I was going through a box of novelty fabrics and found a stash of nine-patch blocks. I do not remember what I made them for or why! I am thinking I will call it ColorFilled Hope. It is definitely bright and cheery and I love this smiling face. And if you are thinking that is a big baby quilt, you are right! Hubs never does small.

Quilting in the hot humid South and loving every minute of it! Sunday, November 24, 2013. So I accepted that some things would have to wait. like my Granny Square Christmas quilt. and instead finished up the have-to stuff and now sewing central is packed away for the year. Sewing Central is setup in our dining room and any time we need to use it for holidays or such, it has to be moved. That will change this spring!
