Bookaholic Raves

Friday, December 16, 2016. Burn Down the Night: M O'Keefe. Alright, so after realizing that this was the third in the series, I quickly went back and read the first two (I couldn't just start in the middle of it). The first two were pretty good. I liked the drama (it was like reading a soap opera script), the characters, and all the crazy intrigue. This book was pretty much the same, but with a new perspective. Thursday, December 15, 2016. My Song for You: Stina Lindenblatt. Yet another book this year th...

Bookaholic Raves: My Song for You: Stina Lindenblatt

http://bookaholicraves.blogspot.com/2016/12/my-song-for-you-stina-lindenblatt.html

Thursday, December 15, 2016. My Song for You: Stina Lindenblatt. Yet another book this year that felt like an emotional punch to the gut. So, other than almost crying when reading every other page.it was great. It was emotional, loving and cute. (Predictable, and over the top-yes-but still cute.) My favorite problem that tears couples apart (ugh.not) came for another visit! MISCOMMUNICATION takes the cake again this year everyone. It was the only thing about this book that bothered me.

Bookaholic Raves: Saving a Legend: Sarah Robinson

http://bookaholicraves.blogspot.com/2016/11/saving-legend-sarah-robinson.html

Saturday, November 19, 2016. Saving a Legend: Sarah Robinson. Well, I do have to admit that this one was much better than the first one. I loved the continued family dynamics in this one. And am so glad that the family has been reunited. I thought this one was much better than the previous one for some reason. I liked that the story as a whole was more believable (apart from the whole, you know, "murdering someone" part), with our heroine having a relatively normal backstory, same with our male lead.

Bookaholic Raves: November 2016

http://bookaholicraves.blogspot.com/2016_11_01_archive.html

Monday, November 28, 2016. Alright, so I have to say that the last Opal Carew book I read.was a flop to me(I think I still have nightmares). This one was much better. Now, it was still a little crazy (I mean come on, having all this sex, with no condom, and after like a week, a proposal? That's just.ugh. Ok, moving on. Not Rebecca. Although I'm not a huge fan of her health choices, she was a perfect fit for someone like Rex. Monday, November 21, 2016. Wrong Place, Right Time: Elle Casey. I swear, every b...

Bookaholic Raves: How to Catch a (Falling) Star: Gabrielle Aquilina

http://bookaholicraves.blogspot.com/2016/12/how-to-catch-falling-star-gabrielle.html

Thursday, December 15, 2016. How to Catch a (Falling) Star: Gabrielle Aquilina. First, can I just say that this one was like, 20 times better than the first one. I'm not sure what it was, but I loved Johnny and Darcy so much more. Honestly, I barely remember the people in the last book. I do like that we see the continued relationship in this one though, it seemed more natural. Which, of course, leads to absolute chaos. Don't worry, eventually, it all leads to a happy resolution. Check Me Out on Goodreads.

Book Excerpt from The Forgotten Ones. The bruising extended from his temple, around the curve of the eye socket and down almost to where the fold of his laughter line curled round to meet his lip. She drew back the blanket from him, seeing for the first time the leather strap that encircled the safety bar at the side of his bed, its other end fastened around her father’s wrist. She whispered, tapping him lightly on the arm in an attempt to rouse him. Dad, what happened? What happened to my father? I don’...
