BookNAround: Review: The Fortune Hunter by Daisy Goodwin
http://booknaround.blogspot.com/2015/05/review-fortune-hunter-by-daisy-goodwin.html
Books, running, life. Thursday, May 21, 2015. Review: The Fortune Hunter by Daisy Goodwin. I enjoyed, made it that much more appealing. But The Fortune Hunter is not focused on Sisi so much as it is on two characters whose lives are changed by her very presence. Thanks to the publisher for sending me a copy of the book for review. May 25, 2015 at 10:41 PM. YeahIm gonna need you to send this to me ASAP so I can read the heck out of it. :D. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Reading and math logs. I hate,...
BookNAround: Review: The Original 1982 by Lori Carson
http://booknaround.blogspot.com/2013/05/review-original-1982-by-lori-carson.html
Books, running, life. Wednesday, May 29, 2013. Review: The Original 1982 by Lori Carson. The past is immutable, fixed, never changing. You can only change your future. Each decision you make, large or small, impacts the direction that your future takes and changes who you are. Unlike the future, which is still to be writ, we say the past is over and done with. But since it only exists in memory, why can't you change it? Just how would her life be different? Or find her on Facebook. May 31, 2013 at 8:14 PM.

Sparks' Notes: January First
http://lindseysparks.blogspot.com/2012/10/january-first.html
Monday, October 15, 2012. For some reason, I thought this was a novel until I started reading and realized it’s a memoir. Oops. It actually reads like a novel in many ways, with an intriguing narrative and tight writing. The raw emotion spilling forth from it surprised me though. Usually people, even those writing memoirs, step back and don’t put quite everything out there the way Michael Schofield does. Who believes them when they talk about how hard she is to handle? November 2, 2012 at 4:22 PM. I orig...
Deadly Letters: E-Readers & Digital Books
http://deadlyletters.blogspot.com/2010/05/e-readers-digital-books.html
Saturday, May 15, 2010. E-Readers and Digital Books. The topic of Kindle and Kobo and all sorts of digital book platforms has been all over the news the last while. I understand that there is something of a revolution in the book world and that there are many fears (valid and reactionary and everything in between) about the future of the publishing industry. What I am wondering about is adoption: How quickly are people picking up Kindle and other similar electronic book gadgets? May 15, 2010 at 8:46 AM.
Deadly Letters: Self Pub?
http://deadlyletters.blogspot.com/2010/12/self-pub.html
Friday, December 3, 2010. Just curious if any of you know of any authors who shifted from "traditional" publishing to self publishing? It seems like there are several advantages to self publishing, yet, there is a bit of a stigma to it. As well, with self publishing, it can be difficult to have the book reviewed or carried in libraries. However, if you self publish, you retain control. Can you mention any authors who moved away from a publisher to go out on their own? December 3, 2010 at 9:13 AM. Mysteri...

Monday, April 5, 2010. Budget and Self Publishing. So, if you were going to self publish, what is the maximum you would be willing to spend? Consider the fees with the printer plus promotional materials and events. How many books would you print for the first time around? When you consider the costs involved is it worth it? Does the new world of digital books change the game for self publishing - in your opinion? Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). There was an error in this gadget. Budget and Self Publishing.

Blurbs from the Burbs. Beth’s days, like’em or not. Goodbye “Hard but I guess I grew as a person but now I want easy happy times mmkay? December 31, 2008. Okay, first 2008: I must acknowledge that you provided me ample opportunities to test my spiritual mettle. Whisking back and forth between hospital visits to my parents at various points this year gave me lots of time to reflect and pray. My having back surgery followed by a prolonged (and ongoing) between-jobs situation for Tim? But I must take issue,...
The Book Nook: February 2014
http://coolnmisty.blogspot.com/2014_02_01_archive.html
I was so excited when I got Rose in Bloom. From the library; but somehow, it wasn't what I had expected. The charm had gone out of it for me. Now re-reading Eight Cousins. Its prequel) was so much fun. I loved reading about Rose's developing relationships with her newly found relatives in that book, but somehow, Rose in Bloom. Was much too slow paced for me. I knew what was to come and I felt the it was dragged on a bit ( I know this is probably the effect of re-reading books ). Only time will tell.
