Thursday, September 9, 2010. Mom and I looking for sloths. we found one! Eating monkey food is awesome! Just another tropical thunderstorm. Today I played at the beach in the waves and the water was warm. I built a mountain out of wet sand. I could have gotten a skin rash because the water was full of sticks, leaves, dirt and sand. Thursday, September 9, 2010. An excavated sea turtle nest. Playing with new friends. This is a stray puppy I named Brownie. She's got two brothers named Licker and Fudge that are just as cute. Writing in my journal under the mosquito net. I can’t believe that I picked up sea turtle eggs! The eggs were squishy, soft and smooth. There were 115 eggs. To pick up the eggs I had to wear plastic gloves. Tortuga had 3 or 2 barnacles because it was swimming too slow. My technique for picking up sea turtle eggs:.
