We have enjoyed learning about dictionaries, encyclopedias, almanacs, and much, much more. We are also celebrating Black History Month, by reading and learning from many talented African American authors, as well as authors from other cultures. 1 Monarch Award - "Too Many Toys," by David Shannon. We have been able to expand our new listening library, and update many of the references and books in the library. Many thanks to everyone involved with the grant process. Friday, October 29, 2010. Well it's the end of October and all I can say is WOW! Time sure does fly. October has been a very busy month in library. We have been learning about finding and retrieving information and we have also been reading very good books. The students are actively participating in the various book award programs, and I am pleased to see the rise in enthusiasm for reading. YEAH BUDLONG!
