Hi Welcome to my website. R and R Travels. My BMW GS650 Dakar. Its March 2008 and I am back in the UK now after a fairly short visit to Africa only 9 weeks. These are diary entries for 2005. I haven't done any this or last year due to the fact that. I have spent very little time alone and that's when I tend to write. Just click on a date or title below to view the diary entry. The busiest tourist I have ever met. The night of a thousand bugs. Up Up and away. Its not who ya know! Cows on the Beach! The last bus to Klerksdorp. Another Kak day in Africa! Part of the Furniture. Possum park and a whirlwind tour. The day I lost the race! A town called Alice.

How could I build a website about me and my life without a page on bikes! It may be a while before I get round to sorting this page out but I intend on putting a history of bikes I have owned. And stacks of useful and useless information ;-). 2007 My Lekker Dakar. Below are photo's of bike's that I have owned over the years I will replace them with original pics of my bikes when I get time. some bikes I have only owned on paper for a short time but I have done so many miles on them I think they count!

Here are a few of the photo's I have taken this year with my Nokia Phone. I left the UK in November last year and headed for South Africa where I bought my BMW 650 Dakar. I spent 3 months riding my bike and visiting all my friends :-) I had a few adventures and did some building work, got a bit of a tan and generally had THE best time! Below are links to some photo's that I hope you enjoy. Of course every photo has a story and I am sure over time I will bore you to death with them again and again ;-).

Travel tips, do's and do not's. My first tip is one most of you know but I do feel it's worth writing down so at least you can refer to it in case you are tempted! Don't eat Yellow snow! Below are some tips that I hope you find useful and will stop you making the same silly mistake I make time and time and time again!
