Just another WordPress.com site. Toledo, Segovia, y más Madrid. May 24, 2011. My friend Sara A. and I began the Camino de Santiago after a four-hour bus ride to Lugo. We arrived to Lugo around 11:00 and after wandering around the city for a while, finally started on the actual camino at 12:30. So, we walked through small towns and mostly on the highway. We stopped at a bar on the way for lunch. There, we met a man named Juandi. He was a fellow pilgrim and had been walking since April 1. Beginning of Day 2.

I thought it was going to take 30 minutes to get the Arc, but in reality, it took closer to an hour. The cool thing about the arch is it is the direct center of Paris and all roads lead to it. Also close to our hostel (about a 30 minute walking distance), was the Moulin Rouge! There was no elephant and it was a lot smaller than I was imagining, but it was cool to see. February 13, 2011.
